The Planning....
Sunday, 10th February 2019.
I just got back from an extended CNY leave. Still quite exhausted from the week long activity (including travel to my hometown in the East Coast), I almost did not want to join this ride. But Mzac personally called out my name... so, its only rigt that I obliged.
So, the now very active UOMO food hunters called for a short breakfast ride to PD (Port Dickson). Razman initiated the list on Saturday morning; and by the time the ride took place today (Sunday) ten bikes were there at Seremban RnR, our RV point.
From the original sign ups, Capt Bashah, Man Morini, Me, Mzac, Acap & Zurik made it that morning. Zack plus four others joined unannounced. Those four bikers are new (friends of Man) and I’ve never met them before. Except for Capt Tas on Ducati Multistrada, I could not recall the names of the other bikers (riding an Aprilia Shiver, BMW RT & Kawasaki ZX250). So, that’s eleven bike this morning (with the brother on ZX2 pilioning his wife).
NoX, PakYop, Sopi, Krambit & Druze could not make it due to other pressing commitments.
A new Mislan joined enroute; he waited at Mambau exit and joined in as we passed through that place. Well, I didn't even realized that he had tagged along. Only saw him when we parked our bikes at the makan place.

Mislan - an ardent biker. |
The breakfast was sumptuous. As always, the more friends got together, the bigger appetite everyone has. Almost everyone had second helping of either roti canai or capati.
There were not much out-of-the-usual that I could share from this ride. However, after we had finished here, most decided to head home. But seven of us agreed to go look for durian, led by Razman.
So, after bidding the rest goodbye, we followed Razman whom took us to Nilai... The durian was good. But the discussion on the "thousand-corner ride" really was the main thing that day.
While we enjoyed the durian, our focus was really on the ride to thousand-corner. We checked the flights cost, we explored on bike rental shops, and we discussed many other things. But one thing was certain, we agreed and locked the date to make the trip – 2nd March to 4th March…
Zack seriously checking the flights schedule for KUL-CNX... :-) |
Faizal’s home was nearby. Though he did not follow us on the ride (as his bike is still under repairs), he joined us here when he passed by (and saw us) to pick his son from tuition. And while he was very interested about the thousand-corner planning, he reluctantly said that he was not ready.... No worries bro, you'll get there when you are ready....
Feeling both excited and unsettling on the planned thousand corner ride, we called it a day for this ride. Just as the clock came to 1:00pm, we headed our respective way home.... with, I'm sure, thoughts on the thousand-corner.... three weeks to decide and act :-)
And... it would be incplete if Mzac's selfie is not included in this posting. His trademark before emabarking on a ride.
