The Last Ride............ (before Ramadhan 2019)

At it again. “Terkejut” sort of ride. But not so much…. Has been something that the UOMOs does now and then…

Friday – as every working soul are getting ready to go home for the weekend, Zack prompted “Atuk, let’s do a short ride tomorrow. Lenggeng, breakfast“. Until Saturday morning, three names made the list – Zack, Mzac & Mutanic. Despite indicating that I will join, Mzac did not put me on the list thinking that I was not able to.

I just got back from outstation. And when I touched down at KLIA, I posted my location when stopping by the Mitsui Premium Outlet…. All because no one knew it is located in Kampung Besut.

Mutanic was already at the RV place when I arrived few minutes before the agreed time (of 8:30am). Zack arrived a few minutes later, followed by Mzac. WakMT09 completed the corum for today – note that he only messaged the group at 8:15am “on the bike!” without any indication of joining earlier.

This would be the first time Mutanic riding with UOMO after buying his TRK502 a while back. He was a bit worried when seeing the others were all on sports/street bike. And Zack added to his worry by saying “don’t worry, we’ll wait at every junction…” hehehe…

But, UOMO has always been about true camaraderie… Mutanic was never out of sight. In fact, he was doing good – not only in keeping up, but at times was ahead of some of us. And he was really giving me a run for my money on the twisties (route N34)!..... except when Zack and Mzac ride side-by-side... hehehehe

We arrived our destination in no time. And the first order of business would be to dig in....

Mutanic's Steed - TRK502 - Fully Utilized!

A note on Mutanic. He has been very active since he bought the TRK a couple of years back. Prior to this, he was riding a ZZR250. Could not recall if we have been a ride together all those years during SBM heydays. But he is now more active than anyone of us. Well done Tanic!

Ikan Semilang Masak Lemak Cili Api... kot... :-)

While everyone else had nasi lemak with ayam kampung and/or ikan semilang, I was more tempted with the pulut.... :-)

As we started eating Razman @ Man Morini @ MM messaged to wait as he was coming. And came he did…. on Kawa Z750... casually attired.

MM was actually meeting someone in Broga. After a glass of iced tea, he went off, while we waited at the Nasi Lemak place… as MM would be leading us to makan durian in Mantin later!

So, we took a different route going back. Instead of going back via route N34, we took the kampung road into Mantin town.... simply because of the durian....

At RM18 a kilo, Zack & MM took 3 durians (Total price RM82) for us to taste. We thought it would not be enough. But with such thick meat, the durians proved to be more than enough for the six of us!

Today’s ride was indeed short and sweet. Maybe I do need to say this again, but our casual rides with good chit-chat time while having late breakfast or early lunch brings purpose to biking… at a different level I would say. So for those whom are still having excuses for not riding… get on the bike and join us! hahahahaha…. we guarantee a joyful outing.
