Brotherhood of Bikerz... Yes?
Alhamdulillah ourbiking fraternity is still going strong - despite many of us are pushing the much sought after "veteran" status.... hehehehe..
We need to associate. Without fraternity, our likes and hobbies would be just wants and memories. Well, at least for some (hobbies). Without fraternity, our hobbies will most likely be in a pause mode… and sooner than expected, will be something “I used to do that….” thingy.
Well, enough blabbering. Lets talk a bit about today’s ride. So today would be about just that. Association. Not the official with chairman secretary committee kind of association, but the camaraderie type. You know the type where you meet up with friends doing similar things that you like….
And today, is a bit special. Krambit, whom have been having issues with his Aprilia showed up with a Beemer! The XR really befits him. See for yourself lah
He was super excited as this would be his first ride with the new baby. Our destination for today would be Bidor’s Mee Kicap Lina.
For today, few of our regular ride buddies could not make it. But few others whom have been as regular joined.
We were at Sungai Buloh RnR almost an hour waiting on IdrusK.
Anyway, if there is any interesting story to tell about today’s ride, apart from Krambit’s new steed, would be the sign-up and turnout.
More about this later….
As for the ride, once we were pretty sure all that would turn up has arrived, we rode out…. almost one hour after the planned “tayar golek” time. Not that its abnormal…. hehehehe….
Mzac, or Atok as he is passionately referred to by us nowadays, is still going strong (and fast I might add) despite being an “atok”… hehehehe…. While today’s ride, well maybe on most of our rides, there’s a mix of bike category, two of a kind (bike) is enough to put a a little child play into it. (<—- mouthful sentence!). Mzac and yours truly was on our GSXR and R1 respectively. So, in no time Mzac started to pull away just after Rawang RnR. And of course it was my civic duty to follow suit. The closer I get, the more gas he put into it. And I must admit, the bloody GSXR has more juice than my Yammy. At a certain “peak” speed, the R1 just felt too fast. So there you have for all the Gixxer nuts – my testimony that the Atok has bigger balls! hahahahaha…
Note for record: ShamSRAD now rides a R1220GSA. But he still has a heart of
gold sportsrider. Thus, he was pushing it and was trailing closely behind me as I was chasing the Atok. But……….. (fill in the blank… hehehe)
Led by NoX, when we arrived Lina’s place, Yan @ SY @Superyan and his troupe was already starting to eat. Expected; as we were supposed to be there around the same time but…. that’s normal, right
Well, as can be seen from the pics above, SY original had 7 riders signed-up for this small get together between UOMO and ex-SBMers from Ipoh/Perak. But the turnout was more than fifteen bikers! On the other hand, nine buddies committed to partake from KL, but in the ned only seven was able to make it… hahahaha…. But of course, the ones whom bailed at the last minutes had good reasons…. totally okay bros!!!
This once-in-a-full-moon get together was really meaningful as we met old acquaintances that we got to know from this biking hobby. Also at the same time, we were making new friends with those whom we’ve not met before. Many were seasoned bikers but there were also some noobs, translated to new acquaintances.
This establishment – Mee Kari Lina Bidor – serves mainly two dishes, mee kari and mee celup. Both are center of attractions for patrons here. Both are equally uniquely sumptuous. And they also serve Mee Sup… well, equally delicious
We must admit, it has been a while since we met with SY face-to-face although we are chatting everyday through out WhatsApp group. But you all know its totally different from talking in person. So, the talk and discussion that day was very lively, with laughter and everything jovial. But again, every time we get together on a ride, the chit-chat has always been that way… hehehehe…
And that was that. All things good will always come to and end. After all the “kiss and say goodbye”, we rolled out just after noontime. The weather was great <—- no rain.
Thanks guys for yet another good ride…
Oh, by the way, ShamSRAD took some videos from his brand-spanking-new GoPro Hero 7 top-of-the-line Black Edition and first time ever used today. Do enjoy the clip as edited by him below...
