On Every Monday

It all started in February 2007... 17th February to be exact. That was to be the first TTS (Teh Tarik Session) for SBMers (forumers from http://superbikemalaysia.com) around Shah Alam area. The place - restoran MMZ in Bukit Jelutong.

What's the significant? Well... many. First off, this was the place where UOMO was mooted - albeit from jokes and jest. But most significant, I met face-to-face many of the biker friends from SBM of which otherwise interfaced via the virtual forum. Almost on every Monday evening (10.00pm onwards) many of us, me included met up at the restaurant.

Today, Moday 5 Oct 2009.... pushing three years. Of late, I'd say since early this year, the 'glory' of TTS @ MMZ seemed diminished. Many of the guys from UOMO (see pics below) have not frequented the place (me included)... :-) Tonite, as was prvious Mondays for the past month, I've missed going there.... hmmmm

Tears of Joy, Tears of Sorrow....

People cry for different reasons. Most of the times, one cries out of sadness and sorrow or from being depressed and dreary. Many a times, we cry joyously. Elated and overjoyed.

That was the spirit when I (and many more) woke up this morning. As today, we blithely celebrate the wedding of PakWan, a friend in SuperbikeMalaysia.com... However, we were shocked with the tragic news of a sudden loss of another dear friend from our biking fraternity.

Allahyarham Mohd Affendi @ TazDevil was, like me and hundreds more, affable since the few days before this event.... Allahyarham rode solo all the way from Kerteh in Terengganu making his way to join his other friends of the same passion - biking - in escorting PakWan on this big day. But as fate has been written, Taz met with an accident along LPT Hiway somewhere near Maran exit... He perished almost instantly.... and everyone was in shock when news of this sad and most unfortunate incident found its way through sms and phone calls as well as our forum... most of us was on our way to the wedding reception when the news spread....

Thus... tis' the day of mixed emotions and confused feelings.
Joy. Sorrow. Mirth. Grief. Happy. Sad. Gaiety. Gloomy. Levity. Misery. Jubilation. Grievance.

...and yet the hihglight in today's mainstream media, is on the passing of Yasmin Ahmad, a critically-acclaimed multi award film director.
